Item Description

Tellurium is not common to find isolated in nature, and arguably the finest crystallized examples are those from the Emperor Mine in Fiji. This piece is from Boulder County - the site of the first Tellurium discovery in Colorado, and is a nice specimen and certainly rarely available. It features beautiful bright silvery-white or "tin-white" metallic Native Tellurium with black micro crystals of Ferberite (on the reverse side) on matrix from Boulder County. Ex Allen Heyl Collection, the namesake for the phosphate Aheylite.
