Item Description
Tektites are a natural glass formed from a meteorite impact melting the local rock, thrown up into the air and coming down as molten globs causing the intense furrowing. Moldavites are named after the main occurrence at the Moldau river in Southern Bohemia and originated due to the impact of a meteorite in Bavaria 15 MM years ago. This is a fine, glassy, translucent forest-green reference piece, nice for a pendant or a study sample rather than as a beauty in and of itself, but kinda neat with the history. Nearly all specimens come from the Czech Republic. Mass is 10 grams. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock.
