Item Description
A SUPERB and VERY RICH CABINET specimen of the ultra-rare zinc phosphate tarbuttite from the famous Broken Hill Mine of Zambia, the Type Locality. Very gemmy, colorless to light gray tarbuttite crystals richly cover the sculptural gossan matrix plate on this fine old-timer from 1960s or earlier. Ex Dr. Herman Bodson and Mullane Collections. The last Broken Hill tarbuttite specimen of this quality that we offered at auction, 2 and half years ago, was smaller and sold for over $450. RARE in this size and quality.
