Item Description

Tarbuttite is a phosphate who's habit normally ranges from rather boring to sharp, sheave like blades (such as the 2007 find at the Skorpion Mine). This botryoidal habit is one I have not seen before, with superb luster, apple green color and translucence that is exceptional. Some of the layers of the botryoid have cleaved off, but it does not affect the overall aesthetics. It is a fine example of a rare species. Better in person, by far.
