Tapiolite-(Fe)

Item Description

Tapiolite is an uncommon Ta, Nb oxide, that until now has not been reported from this particular province in Mozambique. Location aside, this single crystal is exceptional for the species, particularly for its large size. The luster, in parts, is excellent and striated, and the form is unusual, as well. For what it is, this Tapiolite is a tremendous example of the species.
