A striking, superlative and rare combination tanzanite specimen. The diverging spray of lustrous, broad, purplish-blue, blades is dramatic from two sides. The blades are translucent, except for the gemmy "wing" and some of the terminations. The form of the broad side is most impressive, but the real pazzaz and rarity of this exceptional piece lies with the stunning, well-placed nest of very rare for the locale, snow-white, laumontite blades nicely accented with a nearby cluster of splendent graphite plates.
