Tanzanite is one of the most popluar gems in the world, and fine crystals are fast becoming some of the most desireable gem crystals in the world. It is not common to find Tanzanite crystals that feature more than one color in one direction like this attractive thumbnail specimen. This piece is a beautiful, rare, multi-colored, Tanzanite. The piece features a handful of sharp, lustrous, gemmy, tapered crystals with beautiful hues of purple, peach and yellow that can be seen throughout.. This piece exhibits classic pleochroism when the piece is rotated. It's also three-dimensional piece, as it doesn't just feature a lone prism, but multiple crystals giving the piece "depth". I can see a tiny bit of greenish-yellow Prehnite growing on the perpendicular crystal as well. The terminations are undamaged, but the base of the piece has a separation mark where it was either removed from the pocket, or where another crystal(s) once grew. Valued at $1000 by the previous dealer, and considering the increase of the value of Tanzanite in today's market, it could easily be more. No repairs.
