An EXCELLENT, colorful and aesthetic tanzanite miniature. The two, gemmy and lustrous, parallel-growth tanzanite crystals with sharp, well-striated terminations exhibit classic, textbook diochroism (the base is translucent). The A and B axes are the beautiful, vibrant blue and blue-violet, respectively, indicative of natural unheated state of color (hard to photo). It is complete all around though grew against something (contacting) on a few edges. Contacting is noted on both sides of the crystal, near the base, but there is no damage, per se. This is a wonderful, complete all-around and pristine, untreated tanzanite miniature with textbook colors and sharp crystal form. 22 grams. Valued $2500.
