Item Description

Tanzanite is one of the most popular gems in the world, and fine crystals are fast becoming some of the most desirable gem crystals in the world. This thumbnail specimen is a beautiful, lustrous, gemmy, prismatic purplish-blue color single crystal of Tanzanite. The crystal still exhibits classic pleochroism (purple can be seen when looking across the "b" axis) but due to the thin nature of the piece, it's not incredibly strong. It's a very attractive crystal of one of the most popular gem minerals in the world.
