Item Description
A really striking and very hard to find matching bicolor rough and cut set of gem Tanzanite (a variety of Zoisite) from the only place in the world where it's found. Tanzanite crystals and gems are among the most sought after and "in-demand" items every year, and Tanzanites are often the most popular colored gem in the stone trade every year. The combination of the amazing color and exclusivitely to only coming from one part of the world really makes it so special, no matter what form you find it. This set fatures a wonderfully sharp, lustrous, well-formed, tapered crystal of Taznanite that shows a lovely blue hue when viewed from the "a" axis, but if you look closely, you'll see a yellow stripe of color running through the middle of the crystal! When the crystal is viewed from the "b" axis, you only see a purple hue, and a pinkish-purple color is seen when viewed down the "c" axis. This attrctive bicolor / multicolor crystal is paired up with a stunning, blue AND yellow bicolor "Emerald" cut gem with SI clarity. How often does one find color banding in Tanzanite, let alone a matching crystal and gem set!? Valued at $2,200.
