Tanzanite is one of the most popluar gems in the world, and fine crystals are fast becoming some of the most desireable gem crystals in the world. This piece is a beautiful, sharp, lustrous, very well-formed, thin "wedge"-shaped, blue color Tanzanite. The crystal still exhibits classic pleochroism (purple can be seen when looking across the "b" axis) but due to the thin nature of the piece, it's not incredibly strong. Even though it's small, it's a very attractive little crystal of one of the most popular gem crystals in the world.
