A stunning, gemmy and lustrous, blue tanzanite from this famous locality. The steeply pyramidal termination is unusually fluted and really adds character. This is a lighter colored tanzanite, so the blue and purple dichroism is not as evident as in some fatter crystals (though it is there). However, you do see slight hints of red/brown at the termination angled down the C-axis. Complete all-around and pristine. Part of one side is contacted, but has no damage, per se.
