Tanteuxenite-(Y)

Tantalum-rich Euxenite-(Y) is quite uncommon, and to find well-developed crystals of any significant size is just that - significant. The TWO tabular crystals here are exceptionally well-formed. They are sharp, terminated, and the Tanteuxenites have a luster that ranges from earthy to metallic. They overlap in a very aesthetic manner, and the largest crystal is a significant 3 cm long. One of these crystals alone would give this 'top' of the species consideration, but the combination of both make this is remarkable. Originally priced at $450, I think that would be a bargain now.
