Item Description
A RARE and unusual pseudomorph combination from the well-known Shigar Valley of Pakistan. Metallic lustre TANTALITE has pseudomorphed a well-placed 1.4 cm sharp MICROLITE octahedron on the sculptural sugary, coarsely bladed ADULARIA and MUSCOVITE matrix. The gently bruised tip is certainly only a modest detraction to this fine Shigar Valley rarity. Microlite is a member of the Pyrochlore Supergroup. Both species contain Tantalum. From a very small find made in the summer of 2007. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued highly for rarity.
