Item Description

Two, intergrown, sharp, octahedral crystals, to 1.1 cm, appear to be MICROLITE but are, in fact, pseudomorphed by lustrous to matte TANTALITE. This is a VERY RARE and most unusual specimen. The pseudos are dramatically set on the sculptural matrix of lustrous, translucent, straw-yellow lepidolite crystals. This fine combination rarity is from a small find made in the summer of 2007. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Valued by Herb at $450 more than 6 years ago. It is certainly worth more today.
