Item Description

A RARE essentially pristine, 2.3 cm, tabular tantalite crystal is aesthetically set on feldspar matrix on this exceptional thumbnail from Stak Nala. The well-striated parallel-growth crystal has striking multiple terminations and high luster. The crystal is mostly black, but definite hints of wine-red color can be seen under bright light. A bit of termination bruising is out-of-sight on the base. Rare, highly desirable Stak Nala tantalite from the David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named.
