Tantalite-(Mn) ex Obodda

Item Description

Manganotantalite specimens from this well-known pegmatite locale are rare and are seldom on the market. This high quality well-striated blade has a pinacoidal termination and sharp, tapered edges to go along with the high luster. Most of the crystal appears to be black, but the "glow" shots reveals translucent, red spots on the lustrous face. The sidecar crystal on one side is broken. This is an excellent example of this uncommon pegmatite species from this locale. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. A $150 value.
