Manganotantalite specimens from this well-known pegmatite locale are rare and are seldom on the market. This high quality well-striated blade has sharp, tapered edges to go along with the high luster. Most of the crystal appears to be black, but the "glow" shot reveals translucent, red edges and you can see a red tint running across the lustrous faces. One corner of the sharp termination is bruised above the contacted edge, that has no damage, per se. This is an excellent example of this uncommon pegmatite species from this locale.
