Tantalite-(Mn) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A fine quality, sharp, lustrous, stout, rich reddish-black colored, heavily striated single crystal of Tantalite-(Mn) with minor accenting crystals of Muscovite. No specific locality was given, so it's simply labeled as Minas Gerais, Brazil. The crystal is fully terminated, though it is contacted on the side / bottom. It's still an impressive quality piece as the crystal is highly lustrous and well-formed. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6140).
