Item Description
A rare and scultpural combination specimen from the Shigar Valley and the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Five, sharp, lustrous, flattened, tantalite-(Mn) crystals to 1.2 cm are aesthetically clustered on an intricate boxwork matrix of large (to 7 cm), intergrown muscovite crystals. A pod of glassy, transparent quartz crystals is a super compliment. The quartz crystals reach 3.4 cm (doubly terminated). There are two more tantalite crystals scattered on the piece. The tantalite, muscovite and quartz crystals are preferentially coated with what appears to be tiny, bladed albite crystals and drusy albite. The tantalite and quartz crystals are pristine, with the muscovite blades having only trivial edgewear. This is an exotic, excellent and very showy combination rarity from this noted locale. valued $750
