Item Description

This is a colorful, cherry-red crystal of Tantalite-(Mn) from an obscure pegmatite in the Paraiba State of Brazil, near where the Paraiba Tourmalines are found. This crystal measures one and a half inches in length with fabulous color and is terminated at one end. The prism faces are complete and a little rough only because of growth features. The cherry-red color is more evident in the top half of the crystal and several shades darker at the bottom half. The top termination is angled and has a small spot of white Quartz as an accent. A very good Tantalite-(Mn) crystal from Brazil.
