Item Description
Gorgeous deep magenta Talmessite crystals blanket the display face of this miniature from the Bou Azzer Mine in Morocco. A wealth of glistening and glowing, translucent fuchsia-colored crystals from 2 to 4 mm in size pretty much cover the surface of an altered limestone matrix. Around the periphery where the Talmessite crystals are small, their color is a very bright pink-magenta due to the underlying light colored, almost white, Dolomite in those areas! Talmessite is a rare hydrated calcium-magnesium arsenate and is a dimorph of Wendwilsonite. This is simply amazing for sparkle and color saturation, one of the richest we have ever seen, and should be taken very seriously. It is a $2000-plus specimen on the market at a show, and is much much better in person.
