Item Description
Kammererite, the purple variety of Chromian Clinochlore, is VERY RARE from any Brazilian locality. It is not listed by MINDAT for this obscuire locality in Minas Gerais. The world's finest crystallized specimens easily come from Turkey. The front of this rare, colorful and scuptural large two-sided rib features hummocky violet Kammererite associated with dynamically contrasting neon mint-green platy chrome-rich talc with waxy lustre and feel. The back and side of the piece is totally covered with pitted Kammererite. Interesting for a locality specimen, and just for having a nice large talc plate! The Serro area is one of the few Minas Gerais localities, that produced Platinum and Palladian Platinum nuggets. A super rare and exceptional large combination from the locale from the Paolo Matioli Collection.
