Item Description

The hardest crystals become the softest?! An excellent and specimen of a super-sharp, pseudohexagonal, light brown, talc pseudomorphs after quartz crystals. This fine OLD-TIMER is from a renowned locality for this RARE replacement - the Johannes Mine, Bavaria, Germany. The quartz pseudos are so sharp, that they look man-made, but the beautiful patina is diagnostic, that it is, in fact, natural and not carved from a massive talc block. Seldom on the market in this quality, this is very old material. It once was called "steatite". Ex Mullane Collection
