Item Description

Extremely sharp, brilliant green crystals of this very rare molybdate species covering nearly every side of the matrix, make this a fine miniature for the price. It is rich and showy, though the crystals are laying flat against matrix and do show contact at the edges. Most szenicsite, in fact, was found this way, occupying tight vein fillings. The color here is top grade, and the overall richness is quite significant. They were found over a decade ago in the early 1990s by Skip Szenics, after whom they are now named. All came from and through him, and no more have been found since to my knowledge. This unique species is showy and colorful for a new rarity - the lucky guy! This is a great trim from a killer larger pieceI bought from him years ago; and comes with a xerox of that label. Valued $750-900.
