Item Description

Extremely sharp, brilliant, iridescent, light and dark green laminated crystals of this very rare molybdate species comprise this entire wedge shaped piece, make this a fine miniature. It is very rich and showy, with intense color of a unique hue and saturation. Most szenicsite, in fact, was found this way, occupying tight vein fillings. The color here is top grade, and the overall richness is quite significant. They were found over a decade ago in the early 1990s by Skip Szenics, after whom they are now named. All came from and through him, and no more have been found since to my knowledge. This unique species is showy and colorful for a new rarity - the lucky guy! This is a super and rich piece from him and the label is autographed by Skip. Valued $1250-1500
