Item Description
Brilliant silver-metallic luster and striking crystalline texture on this fascinating and rare large manmade native antimony. The impressive piece is a smelter product from an unknown locality. The specimen comes with a 100+ year-old label from the Bally Museum in Switzerland with a Victoria, Australia attribution. We are unsure of the true locality. It could be from a metals smelter in Victoria, the famed Broken Hill complex in New South Wales, or another country. Hefty and rare manmade native antimony at 795 grams or 1.75 pounds. In any event, a rare and impressive large antimony specimen (even if smelter product from some weird process they used 100 years ago!).
