A very rich specimen with crosshatched clusters of bright silver-colored lathes of sylvanite embedded in a thin quartz crust. The striking graphic texture of the quartz is caused by sylvanite lathes on edge, displayed over a large surface ara. This is a showy and rich piece at a reasonable price, in my opinion. from the ancient mines at Nagyag. Rich ore itself, with some measureable heft due to its native metals content. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and from the D.L. Casey Collection. Fairly valued at $1500-2000.
