Item Description

Apatite specimens are EXTREMELY RARE from this famous gold mining district and this is a very fine and rich combination! The wormy, 3-dimensional matrix is granular, lavender fluorite. Nubby spherical aggregates of rare, pastel-yellow, rounded hexagonal apatite crystals are richly clustered on the 'front' of the piece. Tiny quartz points are everywhere. Tiny golden/silvery sylvanite lathes are scattered on all sides of the piece. The nifty, sharp, V-shaped pair on the back is 3 mm tall. Purple and straw-yellow LW UV fluorescence. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. A MUST for the Colorado or species collector. Value of such a rarity??
