Item Description
Svanbergite is a relatively rare strontium aluminum phosphate, and good examples are not seen in crystals that are much larger than a few mm. This piece is a RARELY seen example from the famous Champion Mine in California featuring sharp, salmon-orange color, trigonal crystals which measure up to 4 mm. The luster is fairly good, and the crystal have above average color, even if they're not gemmy. Honestly, only the really small Svanbergites are gemmy, so this is a very good example of a species that we've never had to offer in the aucitons before. A great opportunity for a rare species collector, a phosphate collector or a California collector to pick up a good example of this hard to find material for their collection.
