Sussexite (ex Pat Gross Collection) (ex Rich Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

A classic Sussexite specimen of a light pinkish color showing great fibrous form. These specimens are among some of the most easily recognizable minerals from all of Franklin. With over 350 species from this historic mining district, this one was actually named after the county where Franklin the mine is located. A good reference specimen of this well known material. Originally from the collection of Pat Gross in West Orange, New Jersey, and was acquired by Rich Kosnar in 1991. The piece is still housed in Pat's original mounting box, with her hand written label attached to the lid.
