Item Description
Tunellite is a very rare hydrated borate, first discovered at the famous U.S. Borax Mine in 1961. This exceptional single crystal from the Type Locality is a pristine, doubly terminated floater miniature with a nifty side car crystal on one face. The sharp form, pearlescent luster and translucence of the layered crystal are top-class for the species. Who says, that evaporite minerals can't look great? Older material. Hard to value today as such material is quite rare on the market now.
