Superb Stibnite (classic locale)

Wonderfully aesthetic and sculptural 3-sided small cabinet stibnite specimen from this historic, famous and now-closed locale. Striking intergrown diverging sprays of splendent stibnite blades, to around 6.5 comprise this excellent piece. The blades have beautiful steel-blue iridescence under bright light. Even the basal sprays at the attachment are remarkable. Very, very few broken blades for such dense coverage. This piece is undoubtedly from the height of production in the late 1970s-early 1980s production. Ex John Dagenais Collection, a well-known Canadian collector. He passed away in 2022. The very rare zinc tellurate, Dagenasite, was named for him in 2017. This is one of the finest examples of this style and size range we have seen from this noted locale.
