An outstanding, two-sided, rose quartz specimen from Governador Valadares. Rose quartz is rare worldwide and a few finds in Brazil over the years have produced the best of them. This is from the 1980s, and the Richard Hauck Quartz collection which we purchased in 2008. Glassy, vibrant pink, parallel-growth, quartz points stud both sides of the sculptural quartz matrix. The unusual separation of the crystal terminations is important: The crenellated crest of discrete crystals is striking and beautiful, as well. Essentially pristine, except for contacting on one side, this is a fine, display-quality specimen. Older and very seldom available material in this quality from this locale.
