Item Description
A superb, extremely aesthetic and rarely available Tsumeb pseudomorph from an old Collection. Beautiful, powder-blue, rosasite pseudomorphs after sharp azurite crystals form a striking cluster atop a mounded matrix, that is essentially solid cerussite. Actually the rosasite is altered from malachite that is ITSELF a pseudomorph from the original azurite. Pretty green bayldonite is a super compliment to the rosasite. Tiny cerussite needles are also richly scattered about and there is even a patch of chatoyant, primary malachite on the backside of the pseudos. The lighter green material is bayldonite. This is classic, old-time material from the upper oxidized levels of this historic and now-closed mine. The pseudos are pristine. They are SHARP, and the piece overall is aesthetic - all a rare combo in one piece. This is a DOUBLE PSEUDO, with TWO REPLACEMENTS to get to where it is...very rare and notable! Valued $2000 for rarity and quality.
