Item Description

Standing just off matrix is a lustrous and translucent, yellow-green Rhodizite-Londonite crystal, measuring 1.4 cm across. Londonite is the uncommon cesium-rich analog of rhodizite and is usually admixed in these crystals from Madagascar, so that some zones test positive as Londonite and some zones as Rhodizite. This is a fine, very sharp, translucent crystal from the type locality associated with Liddicoatite Tourmaline and Microcline. It is absolutely textbook, and from the best finds of this material, now nearly 20 years ago in the early 2000s. A superb miniature, valued $750-1000. ex Tom Capmbell collection
