There is only one locality for significant weloganite crystals of such size in the world - the Type Locality closed Francon Quarry. The best of these pieces came out nearly 30 years ago, and they are prized by collectors for their unique form, unusual chemistry and beautiful crystallization. This piece features a fine quality, sharp, tapered, layered, translucent, yellowish color crystal of weloganite. This is an extremely rare mineral, and good specimens are few and far between.
