Item Description
Some of the finest and largest crystallized Ametrine examples in the world come from this less well-known locality located in the dense Bolivian jungle. Ametrine is a combination of amethyst and citrine. This impressive, large, sharply terminated, transparent to translucent crystal has rich purple color with beautiful vertical golden-amber citrine bands. This one has a super sharp termination, much better than most you see and is a rare "C" face termination (MAYBE - we looked again after a customer comment and there is SOMETHING odd here, but we cannot say for sure if it is this C Face specifically). Quartz from the Anahi mine frequently exhibits this rare form. The faces are frosted and the termination faces are unetched, which is RARE. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only a trivial bit of termination face edge wear, which is certainly only a modest detraction. 1051 grams or 2.3 pounds mass. This is a superlative and RARE example from this locale. Valued at $1500-2000.
