This famous Namibian mine, closed since 1978, has easily produced the world's finest descloizite specimens. This impressive, sculptural piece of solid descloizite is dominated by the dramatic 4.5 cm compound spearpoint, that rises above the artistic mass of smaller crystals. The sharp, lustrous to moderately lustrous crystals are reddish-brown to dark brown with preferential coatings on their back sides. Backlighting reveals, that some of the crystal have rich burnt-orange, translucent edges, adding pizzazz. This is a very high quality and rich example of the species and famous locale. Comes with a Zweibel Mineral Kingdom of Woodmere label dating from 1973-80, while the mine was still active. Comes with a custom-made lucite base valued at $145, for free. Valued $1000-1500
