Item Description

The recent (2011-2015 and now tapered off) finds of lollingite, Fe-arsenide, from this now famous mine are considered to be the finest in the world. This speicmen hosts a dramatic, 7.3 x 5.5 cm, rosette of silver-metallic lenticular rounded blades is aesthetically set on the large sculptural upright lollingite and quartz matrix covered with complimentary quartz points and a few scattered layered pastel-pink manganoan calcite rhombs. The large rhomb is 2.7 cm. This exceptional large combination has outstanding form and is essentially pristine. Orange calcite fluorescence is a bonus! Valued at $2500 from me as a source (I bought in China) but I have seen similar at prices double that and more, and compared to all previous examples these are really worth it.
