Item Description
Tsumeb is renowned for its malachite after azurite pseudomorphs and this is a superb and aesthetic example. The impressive 5.5 x 3.7 cm lustrous crystal dominates the matrix field of smaller pseudos. This sharply terminated, complete all-around behemoth is pristine. Periphery wear at the base is restricted to one side and is certainly not a detraction. The piece displays extremely well from either side. This is an important, older Tsumeb pseudomorph and is easily the very best example we have offered at auction. Pieces of this very high quality are normally in the Gallery. I obtained this in a large trade and am able to offer it here. Don't let this opportunity slip by to obtain a significant Tsumeb specimen. Valued at $4000-5000.
