Superb Large German Selenite (ex. Zinn)

Even for Naica, which has churned out tons of selenites, this specimen would be wonderful. But no, this is an old GERMAN selenite, out of the collection of Marty Zinn. And as such, it is infinitely more desirable. The glass-clear anchor crystal is complete, doubly-terminated, and - what is amazing for a crystal this size (and with the super softness of selenite, 2 Mohs hardness) it is in almost perfect condition. Along its sides smaller crystals spray out beautifully in every direction. You have to really look to find any tiny bruises on this piece (not surprising, since Marty is a notorious stickler about damage). Displays with amazing impressiveness (and a lot more clarity in person). Important for the locale, but more importantly its just GOOD. and valued at $1,750.
