Item Description
A spectacular, LARGE CABINET, fluorite plate from the famous Elmwood Mine. The highly lustrous, water-clear cubes, to 2.3 cm, have classic color-zoning with rich grape-purple edge phantoms and intense, stepped-growth faces, giving a shimmering, scintillating look. The fluorites rest on a matrix of splendent ruby-jack sphalerite and the scattered patches of sparkly quartz microcrystals are a super accent. This superb large piece is essentially pristine, with only the most trivial of edge and periphery wear. We got this piece in a large collection cull and so the winner here benefits: It comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite "Sunnywood" base valued at $275 by them, for free. The winning bidder will also receive a professional photograph by Joe Budd of the full resolution digital file of the final image (valued at $75, for free). Fairly valued at $2000 and worth it.
