Superb large Fluorapophyllite on Stilbite

Spectacular starbursts, sprays and clusters of glassy, gemmy, bi-colored, tetragonal apophyllite crystals are dramatically scattered on tan stilbite crystals on this superb large specimen from Ahmadnagar. The crystals have rich mint-green bodies and limpid colorless terminations. The fantastic starburst on the left is 6.3 cm tall and the spray on the right is 5.3 cm across. The style and form of these apophyllite clusters is certainly one of the most desirable from any Maharashtra locale. Expertly prepared, the basalt on the back of the curved plate has been carved down, leaving only a striking custom-made natural base. A truly one-off large apophyllite and stilbite combination from India. Fairly valued at $2000-2500.
