Exceptional large and sculptural 360-degree spray of Epidite blades from the famed Poudrette Quarry of Quebec. Striking sillky lustre white to gray to brown blades compose this aesthetic cabinet. The striking 5.0 cm opposing spray on the side is a super complement. The Poudrette Quarry, in exotic alkaline igneous rocks, is certainly one of the world's great mineral localities. MINDAT lists 433 valid minerals with 71 Type Locality species. Elpidite is a rare hydrated Na-Zr-silicate and some of the world's finest examples of the species come from here. Ex Bill and Anne Cook Collection, major Cleveland, Ohio collectors and dealers. Elpidite is one of many signature species from the renowned locale. This is superb large example with large crystals for the locale. A MUST for the species and locale collector.
