Superb gem Uvite (fluorescent) on Magnesite thumbnail (Robertson Coll.)

A 1.3 cm, gemmy olive-green, textbook trigonal uvite crystal is beautifully perched on a magnesite crystal cleavage on this adorable combination thumbnail from Brumado. Interesting greenish-yellow uvite fluorescence. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 11485 and acquired from well-known Brazilian dealer Carlos Barbosa at the 1988 Tucson Show. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). An aesthetic combination cutie from the locale.
