Item Description
A superb, beautifully aesthetic and pristine matrix small cabinet celestine from Sakoany. Gorgeous gem, very glassy ice-blue crystals are fantastically set on the matrix. The stunning limpid 5.7 cm large crystal with the rounded termination is dramatically complemented by striking trident of opposing celestines, to 3.8 cm. This competiton quality piece has two superlative display views and these are generally considered to be the world's most beautiful celestines. Formerly in the Federico Pezzotta Collection. Federico is a petrologist and a curator at the Milan Natural History Museum. He is a recognized expert on Madagascar pegmatites and the rare pink Cesium-rich variety of Beryl, Pezzottaite, discovered in Madagascar, is named after him. You know this is an exceptional example. Valued at $2500-3500.
