superb gem Aquamarine with Feldspar

A STUNNING combination specimen in such perfect balance, with such gorgeous geometry and contrasts : A glassy and gemmy, pastel blue aquamarine crystal measuring 4.0 cm in length, is attached to the side of a lustrous and partially translucent, ivory colored feldspar crystal measuring 3.7 cm in length. The feldspar can best be described as porcelainous, the top quality possible for this material with incredible smooth surfaces. The combination of limpid aqua and lustrous feldspar is spectacular which is why we say this is Aqua WITH feldspar instead of ON it, per se. They are two parts of a whole. From the Keith Williams Collection of miniatures and small cabinet specimens - Keith was a well known dealer and collector for decades before retiring recently. This is obviously from Shigar, but is old enough that it probably predates MINDAT and webites that would have shown so, and so the collection label mistakenly notes ithe origin as Nagar (just interesting historical label trivia...we see this a lot in old specimens).
