Superb etched gem Aquamarine xl (35 grams)

Superb, striking, etched gem aquamarine from this well-known pegmatite area of Minas Gerais. The nearly 4 inch totally limpid pencil has gorgeous blue-green color, striking etched satin luster prism faces and a stunning steep offset termination. The tabular hexagonal crystal is complete all-around and nearly pristine. The steep slope termination face is pristine. There might be a bit of bruising on the back side of the termination, it's hard to tell. A 7 mm contact on one side of the base, where another crystal once lay, has no damage, per se. This is a stunning, rarely available aqua from Marambaia, dating to the 1970s or 80s, or possibly earlier. 35 grams mass. Fairly valued at $2500-3500 for gem quality and rarity.
