The famous Berg Aukas Mine of Namibia has produced the worlds finest descloizite specimens and this is a superb example. The intergrown deiscloizite spearpoints on this fabulous, doubly terminated, floater specimen are actually gemmy and lustrous! The crystals are a rich rust-red. Very nearly pristine, there is only one tiny broken crystal on one side. This fine piece is a super representative example of the species and famous locality, which closed in 1978.
